Default Is this a proper hybrid name?

I got super lucky and picked this fragrant phalaenopsis at a hardware store today.. A total of ten spikes on two plants in the pot!

I've emailed the nursery on the label and they gave me the name "Pandoli" - as shown here Pandoli-Brighten Floriculture

It's literally the only place where I can find it on the internet.

Does this count as a proper hybrid ID? Or should I still call it a NOID?

Pandoli is not a registered hybrid name, or part of one. It might be a cultivar name 'Pandoli' (single quotes) that should be after a registered name, but there is no official record of those in general. It will have to remain a NoID.

Thank you! I suspect a spelling version Pandori would be the same?

They actually did said Pandori, but it had zero results online and looked like a typo. Google suggested the Pandoli page with a matching flower.

A lot of big commercial nurseries use trade names for their varieties rather than registered names, even if that plant has an official registered name. But more often than not, mass market Phals only have trade names.

Thanks I thought so... but I still had hopes I could give it a proper name tag.

Well, at least it smells great and looks awesome. Certainly a rare find in my hunting territory.

It is quite lovely, and having a fragrance is a nice bonus.

Also, no Pandori registered.

I did a search on Phalaenopsis 'Pan'.
One possible result is Phal. Pandora. Everything else is clearly not possible.
