Help ID my orchid please

Hi I'm new to this forum. I got this little guy at an orchid show. No idea what it is though. It's clearly not the common type I see everywhere in stores. Please ignore my horrible dirty table. Thank you

it is a dendrobium hybrid. Probably with Dendrobium bigibbum in its background.

While it can handle similar temperatures to the phalaenopsis, it need considerably more light.

Thank you for your reply. I've quickly become addicted to these plants. How much light for it? They both seem to be doing well in that spot. The window is West facing so they get good sun shining on them half the day through the blinds. I can open the blinds a little more if it needs more light.

If you open the blind enough to suit the Den, it will be too much for the Phal if kept in the same place. If that's your choice to keep both on table, open blind move Den closer to window, move Phal away from window. Den appears to be doing fine with lighting because you just got it. Orchids do everything very slowly. Otherwise, you'll never see blooms on the Den again.

Thanks. Think I'll try my luck of having them both by the window though I'll move them around a bit so the Den gets more light. I've had it for about 2 months and it has a new stalk growing and a new leave on another one. Seems to be doing better than the big guy who has never shown new growth only new blooms.

Just make sure the Phalaenopsis doesn’t get hit with direct sun. With as slow as they are to grow leaves, the scars will be with you for years.
