Two years ago I got a number of orchids off the sidewalk. Someone with a very large greenhouse full of orchids passed away, the family had sold the house, and the new owners had put all the plants out on the sidewalk.
Most of the orchids I picked up had detailed labels (in the cattalya family), but this phal had fallen out of its original pot. It is the first of those sidewalk orchids to bloom for me.
I know it's a NoID and it's impossible to know for sure, but anyone have any guesses just for the fun of it? It's only the second orchid I've managed to bloom, and the other was from Kroger. So this is exciting for me.
Please excuse the sunburn on the leaf... I've since moved the plant to where it won't get direct sun.
