The plant is tagged as Cleisostoma menghaiense. It eventually blooms, the flowers are not like genus Cleisostoma, but Stereochilus instead. There are only 7 different species or so in Stereochilus, but the flowers seem not belong to any of them. Is it possible be other genus? I was also told it was native to Menghai, Yunnan, China, and it was not hybrid. Can anyone help, please?
I have just been informed by the nursery where I bought this orchid, that they actually mistakenly tagged as Cleisostoma, it should be Stereochilus hirtus. But there are some variations, there exist some glandular hair on the back of petals and sepals, and the stem is a bit longer.
