Phalaenopsis Valentinii (cornu-cervi x violacea) bud Female
Default Phalaenopsis Valentinii (cornu-cervi x violacea) bud

I've had this phal hybrid for a while and it's been a monster growing tons of new roots. I trimmed off a few dead ones and disinfected it shortly after I bought it.

I keep it fairly warm (81 F in the day and low 70's at night) and 60-65% average humidity and it's finally making a bud. There's also another spike growing underneath one of the leaves. I don't think this one is fragrant, but we will see.

It seems to really like pure, loosely packed sphagnum. When I repot it next time, I think I'll mix in some perlite.
