I live in northern Delaware. Is it possible to put my Phals outside next year? When I lived in Georgia, it killed them. I think they got too hot and too much sun. I was thinking since the sun is not as intense and it is a bit cooler in De during the summer, they might fair better.

What temps/months should I take them out and bring back? Do they need full shade, part shade?

Phalaenopsis cannot get too hot, but they can certainly get too much light and fry.

They are deep shade plants, so should NEVER be exposed to direct sunlight.

Maybe I'm a bit conservative in this respect, but I never let my phals see below 60°, if I can help it.

Sounds like my northerly facing yard with lots of shade will be perfect then. Thank you.

Same. Mine love warmth, but hate direct sun.
