natural setup for phal?
Default natural setup for phal?

I am new to orchids but had phal for a few years. I've been looking at the terrarium section in this website and would like to know what a natural looking setup for phal would be like. post a picture if you have one.
My guess is terraium would be too damp for phal ???

I have all my Phal species in baskets, hanging on their sides rather than vertically...as if they were on a tree trunk. A few are mounted too.
They seem to like it that way

Hi, since Phals like air movement I think the terraium (in the strict sense of the word) idea might be a bit claustrophobic for them. Also, unles you are talking species (small plants) a hybrid Phal can easily reach 18" to 24" in leaf spread.....
Sue has the right idea, follow her lead and you can't go wrong.
