Hope the picture shows up this time P. violacea var. alba .. looks like I did it again have a pict of the equestris posted the wrong name ..

I love P. equestris, I have a P. Be Tris and it has P. equestris as a parent. When I take it to the shows we have in Central Florida, it usually gets recognized quite often.

Thanks for looking at the violacea , I had a pict. of the equestris ready to post , found out it was a touch to big , ended up posting the violacea my mistake .. could not change the headline .. Wally your equestris is very pretty Gin

Gin, is the violacea from one of the Ooi progeny? In the rush of line-breeding for a true blue or indigo violacea from the plants of Malaysian grower Michael Ooi, some pure saturated maroon violaceas have bloomed that would curl your toes!

All the focus, unfortunately, is on hunting that rare, recessive blue and the maroons or violets are often overlooked. From amongst these crosses, the rare pure white one also blooms out. I've read about it, but haven't seen a photo.

Krull-Smith, and H.P. Norton of OrchidView are two such breeders in the U.S.

It's a beauty, whatever it's background!

Don't know the background ...it came from Dowery Orchids all the tag says is violacea var. alba , Dwayne was importing a lot of plants .. hard to tell . Thanks for looking, glad you like it . G
