Phal. equestris 'Yellow'
Default Phal. equestris 'Yellow'

This is a plant I have had in my collection for several years. Sold as Phal. equestris 'Yellow'. Originally an imported plant, and is now being sold as 'Orange'.

That's really nice...Phal equestris is my favorite Phal

I recently purchased the 'Orange' but it's nowhere near being orange in color, still lovely. Thanks for sharing your plant and the information with us...very interesting to see what you wrote.

We have the same clone. The name was actually changed (to 'Orange') to try and clarify some confusion, with it being named 'Yellow', The color yellow is also present in the f. aurea of this species. Not sure the name change helped ...

I have some mounted on cork with a bit of moss, others are in pots of bark, tipped at an angle so the leaves can grow down and the roots up....so far I see no difference in growth/bloom.
