Hello mehitabel,

No; this plant is not fragrant!

I have considered mass-propagation of this plant, there are several reason I have chosen not too! I have considered a selfing, however, I would love to out-cross it to another – known - 2n sample. Have not found a suitable pollen parent, yet. I am sure a selfing would produce very high quality seedlings.

Yes; it was literally LUCK. The mother plant (purchased in 1991) was getting to such large size it needed to be repotted. To reduce it's overall size it was chopped it two: the upper portion (with all leaf growth) was then repotted. The lower portion (with no leaves) was set aside (left in it's original pot) with hope that it would keiki, and it did. The mother plant was some 15 years old and never produce a keiki, until now. After the keiki had formed a suitable root system I potted it up, and it is now flowering!

Hey, fxphals. Well, luck to find the clone, and after that, some good growing for a considerable time!

Nevertheless, it is a very select clone. If you do decide to breed it, it should produce glorious offspring.

And btw, I got a Jiaho's Pink Girl from Norman's (schillie x Zuma's Pixie) that also has beautiful pale pink and white coloring, with schillie white lip.

It's still small, and has only a few blooms, but it's one of my favorites for the lovely coloring and overall brightness of the flowers.

Here's an url to it, but the picture doesn't do justice to the pink and white coloring.
