Default Phal. Species Peloric 'Gino' JC/AOS

Here's my little 'Gino' peloric. . .not that I've seen it in bloom yet.

This is a keiki that I found at Baldan Orchids online at Ebay. It arrived in GORGEOUS condition with super long roots. Unfortunately, I cracked a lot of them while I was dunking them in water.

OMG! And I was being careful, sooooo maybe keep that in mind when you pot up bare root orchids. Those roots are super delicate. But I'd read to not cut off any broken roots beacause they're still alive. I potted it up and have been waiting for a few months for it to gather it's vigor. Note all the new roots it's growing now? I think the KLN that I began using recently is helping. . . but it's still gathering strength and not fully there yet.

Note to Dorthy (the toe tapper) I thought this one was the orchid I had in bloom, but it was my Phal. equestris! (see new thread)

Note to self: This is why we depend on photo documentation and not our memories.

What knock-out colour! Great plant... I'd be tapping my toe waiting for it to flower, Gwen! Nice new growth, so it must be happy!

Hey Dorothy, this is the one we got at the same time only you wanted the non-peloric, right? Waiting on mine to bloom again, it's growing like mad with a new keiki at the base! (peloric)
