Default Phal equestris (Oak Hill Gardens)

I bought this little equestris NBS orchid from Oak Hill Gardens this past December. . .it arrived in gorgeous condition AND in spike.

It's been in bloom for several months now but I had a couple of minor issues getting it stabilized:

It developed a little hairy white mold or fungus on the buds and around the base of the spike. I got that cleared up by spraying with Physan 20 a couple of times and increasing the air circulation. Thanks very much OB gang!

And then I moved it several times from place to place before I settled it into a really good growing space, it had a few buds blast in the interim because of temp and humidity changes.

So now we're both in our growing groove. . .and it's still blooming.

Bless it's tiny little beauuuuutiful heart.

I love these! And the nice thing is that because they're so small, you can care for lots of them!

I LOVE the coloration on Al's 'Hillbrook' for example. Gonna have to look for that one for sure!

She's beautiful, Gwen!! I like the colour of this one. Really glad that you've found her 'happy spot' - I'm sure you'll be rewarded with loads more flowers in future.

Beautiful Gwen! Hope mine turns out half as nice. No spike yet but I'm talking to it daily and it seems to like it's 'spot' so soon I hope.
