Default Buds unwilling to open

I have a silly little Phal from T.Jo's. Valentine's Day purchase. It had about 4 buds - 2 of which opened - the remaining two which look healthy, have not opened nor do they look like they are going to. Any thoughts? Thanks.

They'll open. Some Phalaenopsis hybrids open flowers somewhat sequentially rather than all at once. And there's no such thing as a "silly" Phalaenopsis!

Well this one is but maybe I should have used the term, "cute" rather than silly. So since Feb 14 to now without opening, I can still expect them to open? Like your dog. Thanks for input.

The dog is Sully, a Great Dane and Sharpei mix. He owns me. He owns my house. He's my best friend.

A couple of weeks isn't that long, especially if the buds remain healthy and plump. They could be slowed simply from being moved, which tends to upset orchids. Also, what is the normal temperature where the orchid is living? A cooler temperature than where it's been growing could also slow the bud development.

Phals are slow in everything they do. You could raise the humidity in the area if you think this is a problem.

Thanks to both. Yes, I've been there with dogs. Love them anyway. I think the temp is too cool quite frankly and the buds are starting to look a little wan. Think I'll go back to T.Jo's. and get another one and put in a different spot since it's been a month I've had this one without much success. Will try a little more humidity for next one.
