Trader Joe's Find
I can always count on Trader Joes to have a beautiful orchid that I just can't resist. This one is so dark and I love the shape.

I regularly visit Orchaholics Anonymous on FB and I remember some one finding this at TJs. I said to myself if I ever saw it, it would come home with me I am hoping to come across a encyclia cordigera but my TJ never has anything but phals and oncidiums. I have tried to ask them to see if they can get more variety but they always say they can't anyone know if this is true and they just don't want to bother trying or if indeed they have their hands tied and are unable to order more varieties?

Hmm, I am thinking that FB site doesn't really help you kick the addiction....
Well, I definitely understand.

At most big chain stores the central office has the suppliers send stuff to the stores, with no input from the local manager.
My sister-in-law at one time was general manager for the Sam's Club in Compton, Los Angeles, California. Every spring she got a shipment of riding lawn mowers, and the Morlocks in Arkansas always yelled at her when they didn't sell. People in Los Angeles live in apartments, have yards the size of an iPad or have a gardening service. Nobody buys a riding lawn mower.
