its in a lightly shaded south-facing position. Temps year round do not go below 69f and can reach about 90-95f at times in early Summer. The old spike ( in pic too ) had 5 blooms.
I used it as a parent in a cross I made a few years ago. Progeny are all slow-growing, finicky and not 'rootiferous' which has led me to the opinion that Jelly is itself a 'bum' cross genetically. I only have 1 seedling left which I am determined to bloom.......in my lifetime. Your experience doesn't give me much hope. It seems the worst of one parent can dominate.
