Looking for veitchiana, wiganiae, and Pinlong Cheris
Hi all--
OK, not that I need more orchids, but.....I've added the following to my wish list:
Phal. Connie Moody (variegated leaves, multifloral bloom habit)
Phal. Pinlong Cheris (light rose fragrance and mottled leaves)
Phal. x Veitchiana (schilleriana x equestris, mottled leaves--any input into which named cultivars are fragrant?)
Phal. x Wiganiae (schilleriana x stuartiana, love the stippling on the lip--you can blame Camille for this one since she posted pix of hers in bloom.....)
Any thoughts where I might find plants to purchase??
Oh, and to make matters worse (did I mention I don't need more orchids?) I came home with a noID today that has slightly mottled purplish leaves, multifloral bloom tendencies, and a light rose fragrance....The nursery (Wilson's east of Newark, Ohio for those in the area) had five more of them in their phal display when I left....I really was just at Wilson's for garden seeds, honest--I don't know how it followed me home....
Thanks in advance!
Catherine

This is why we don't buy our garden seeds online.

At least the on-line seed catalogs don't list orchids, so it might be safer for me to go back to them....Most years I DO buy garden seeds online--I'm trying to cut back this year and not buying as much until I solve the woodchuck issue in the garden--and always buy way more varieties than I could ever plant....
And this is why I could never work at a greenhouse....

Don't know, unfortunately, but I'm also on the lookout for a Wiganiae. I've resigned myself to just waiting a while and looking again.

I was browsing orchid vendors and I stumbled across tsorchids and I have never ordered from them and I am not sure if they have a legitimate website. Everything looks real enough, but they happen to be selling Phal. Sweet Memory.
