New member looking for Sogo Lawrence F1982 Stem Prop
Hi,
Just joined this forum. Lots of great posts!
If I can introduce myself, I've been growing orchids for about 30 years under lights. I like to grow them under fluorescent and HPS lights in my basement grow room. Over the years I've also propagated some from seed for both tropical orchids and a couple of species of Cypripediums. From time to time I would also participate in orchid shows.
Wondering if by any chance there is anyone on the forum located in Canada that could perhaps sell me either a spike of Phal Sogo Lawrence 'F1982' or a stem prop?
This is a beautiful Phal and unfortunately I lost this plant last year and it is no longer available for sale anywhere I have looked on the web.
Thanks,
Rob_S

Welcome to Orchid Board.
With spring around the corner there are lots of orchid shows and vendors coming from far away. I will keep my eye out for one. I don't know what part of the country you are in but do you have some show vendor lists to check? There is a large Phal nursery in Winnipeg or used to be. can't recall the name at the moment....

New member looking for Sogo Lawrence F1982 Stem Prop
Hi Silken,
Thanks, much appreciated.
I've looked through a list of vendors going to orchids shows in Toronto, Ottawa, and Montreal, that would be the closest to my location but without any luck finding this plant. I've also contacted some of the vendors.
Regards,
Rob_S

Not in Canada, but coincidentally, I bought one from Tom Harper of Stone River Orchids, and it is currently blooming with only two flowers. I'm in Birmingham, AL. Let me know if I can help.

Closest I could find was Phal. Sogo Lawrence ‘Nobby’ at Kingfisher Orchids in BC.
You might try getting in touch with him though and see if he knows of anyone selling the one you want.
Hope that helps.
