Phal Wiganiae (schilleriana x stuartiana)
It's that time of year again, and my primary hybrid, Phal Wiganiae, is in bloom again. This one blooms like clockwork every year, it's always reaches full bloom in the second half of January. I love predictable plants! This is one of my favorite orchids in my collection.

I pulled out my macro lens and Raynox macro screw-on macro conversion lens, to get even closer. I find the spotting and colors on these blooms so gorgeous.

I've had this orchid for quite some years now, I think I bought it back in 2009. The spike gets better and better every year, and I made a collage of the spike each year where I had taken a photo of it.
