Blooming Hybrid #2 - Phal Hiddensee
Another of the many phals I have in bloom the last few months.
Phal Hiddensee isn't a registered name, but that's the name it was sold to me under.
I had had a NoID with similar pattening early on in my collecting, but lost it and always wanted to replace it. Last year I found this at a show. The vendor had it on their display table which usually you can only buy from on the last day. However I asked and he said sales were poor that year so he was willing to sell any of them and he would find something to replace it on the display. Great for me, I got this wonderful and vigorous plant.
Again I generally don't stake phal spikes so they grow out sideways and cascade down

I see why you wanted it! It is a beauty!
The only problem with the noID's is when you lose one and need to replace it, the replacement can be so difficult to find without a name. Of course, some named ones have the same problem due to availability.

Very true. I wish places didn't use these 'Trade Names' like this one, but at least if I loose this one I can ask this vendor if they have anything like it again. Hopefully this one won't go the same way as the last though

Way to go, Rosie. I say let them grow the way nature intended. I think they put on a much nicer display that way. In deference to those of you who grow in a greenhouse, I understand that space is a consideration and letting them bloom this way is impractical and staking is necessary.

Lovely. I like the density of spots centrally located that gradually disperse outward. Spots and dots!

If I didn't know I didn't know what I was talking about, I would say it has Mini Mark in it's parentage.
Another spectacular beauty!
