Unfortunately, we won't ever have Gandalf the Grey, but I do plan my revenge and have Gandalf the Pink (which is my favourite colour)

Oh, wonderful names!! I have a Shelob as well, and was considering naming my single bulbophyllum "Bilbo" as well! Great minds think alike
My orchids mostly have ostentatious names that begin with 'O', like Odysseus, Ophelia and Onimusha.
Bob is a beautiful orchid! I have one zygopetalum hybrid but it's a division from a backbulb, so it's gonna take some time before I see a bloom. Any pointers you've picked up about the best care routine?

I love the 'O' names! I have realized yesterday that we do generally go for our favourite characters, whether it's Lord of the Rings or Stargate (oh yes, we are nerds ).
My husband calls me the zygo psycho - I just love them so much!
From what I can tell, they like paph-like light, maybe a touch brighter, but not too much (Bob here did get burned once). They also like to be slightly moist , at least in my environment. They don't seem to mind winter here (we almost get down to freezing) and with enough misting and air movement they are ok during summer, which gets VERY hot.

The keiki is making even more buds. I really hope they don't crowd out the new leaf that is also trying to grow!

How hot is that? Day temperatures / night temperatures?
