If you could only have one phal..... Male

The speciosa x maculata (really should be tetraspis x maculata) has not been registered. By the time your plant flowers, if it's still not registered, you could have the option of registering it with the RHS and naming it.

Preeettttyyy!

Can't wait to see the speciosa x maculata when its' fully opened. Right now it looks like it's taking after the pollen parent.

Yeah, the pattern looks like maculata but the color sure doesn't look orange at this point. So maybe the color of the pod parent?

From Peter's listing:
"This is a speculated hybrid because we were hoping for random white and bluish purple from speciosa 'Blue' and orange markings from maculata 'Orange'. Assuming if the random white and bluish purple did not come through, this primary hybrid should give us the vigor of Phal speciosa and possibly the orange bars from maculata. Either way it will be interesting to see what this two will produce.

Because of Phal speciosa, this group of seedlings are great grower. We should see first seedling to bloom soon."

There is some faint orange on the background, but hard to see. Also, the lip is fuzzy. It's very very cute.
