Phal Chih Shang Stripes ‘Variegata’
Some of you might have noticed that I was trying to collect some variegated orchids. Here's one of them, Phal Chih Shang Stripes ‘Variegata’.

Wow, I've seen them on the web and wondered if they were actually out there! Is the culture any different? More/less light?
I LOVE it!!!!!!!!!

My vendor sunburnt it so I had it for a low price so for this reason I would suggest lower lighting. I've never been to their greenhouse so I don't know how their lighting is, but they are expert growers.

Now that's an interesting composition. I think I like the way the plant is visible, but the subject is clearly the blossoms. Did you light for this effect or is this Photoshop?

thanks, the lighting did it. I photographed at night so I didn't get any sunshine. I had another photo where I turned on every light but I didn't like it as much

phal yu pin pearl can look like that too. There are several with that look. Phals can be difficult to ID with complete certainty because they hybridize and are mass produced to readily, so label your noID with caution.
Here is my photo of yu pin pearl from last year. It is in bud right now though.
