That is absolutely the cutest little thing I've seen. I hope you'll let us know how long it takes to start roots.

I surely will .. for now I am letting nature take it's course and patiently awaiting what it will do on it's own ..
Thank you everyone for your input .. as I will put it to future use

Oh Kavanaru! What a way to spoil whisky! Did no one tell you that you should only use water from the local burn? And NEVER ice?

Hi Leonard,
somehow I had overseen your entry ( nothing personal)
Actually, you find Cytokinins, Auxins and gibberellins in coconut water. This has been confirmed several times in different scientific articles, some ofthem can be found in The Lournal of Chromatography.
Furthermore, even if the most common commercial use of auxines is as "root hormones", you cannot 100% describe them as such. They can indeed induce root growth but also stem growth and bud (mainly apical) growth by desinhibiting dormance. Like most things in nature, their effect is a matter of balance. In this case with other hormones like cytokinins and gibberellins.

Sweet lil thing, D
I don't know if this would work here, but I use peroxide 3% for my paphs fans, as they can sit for months attached to the parrent with no roots. I use a Q-Tip drunk in the liquid and dabble on the babies bum 3 times per day. You could see roots starting within days.
Good luck D
Oh PS - congrats on yer S.mod status - Its about time girlie!

I suppose D, I've never tried it though. Phrags don't seem to be as stubborn with the roots.
