how to treat flowering phal
I 've always red that when an orchid is not in bloom, that is the time to fertilize it with a blooming fertilizer. After that period, when the orchid is starting growing the flower spike, it'ss useless, because it has already received the induction to flower.
I may be wrong but I think that to increase the amount of flowers, you shoud give to your orchid a good amount of very bright light, the right amount of fertilizer, and the right temperature. Plus, I really do think that the "mother" of your plant does the rest,I mean: if an orchid produces a lot of flowers it may depends also from how prolific the mother was. It's a genetic matter.
