New Phalaenopsis Roots
Default New Phalaenopsis Roots

I purchased my Phal awhile back it really did nothing the plant nearly lost all it's roots. I moved the plant to a different location where the light was much brighter not direct sunlight. After I did the plant came to life. Since the move three beautiful new leaves have grown with many new roots sprouting out everywhere from the base of the plant. Some of the roots are going down into the bark. My question what will happen to the roots which are growing straight out nearly on top of the bark when they hit the side of the pot? Is there something I need to do? Or when the root hits the pot it will turn down into the bark? I'm adding this comment after writing this message. What happened after one of the roots hit the side of the pot it turned up is now growing out of the pot. Is it a must I spray these roots with water? If I don't will they dry up and die? Thanks Much

Those are aerial roots. It naturally does it. I just let them be. They get misted when I water the plant.

They might go down when they hit the edge or they might go up and over. Either one is fine.

To let all know one of the roots which hit the side of the pot turned up is now growing out of the pot. I was hoping it would have turned down. What will the others do? Is it a must I spray water on these roots? If not will they dry up and die? Thanks For Your Help
