It was repotted it in June 2013. During the repotting I put the leaves facing straight up. Just guessing it took about 1 year to position itself the way you see it now. This past summer was the first year it bloomed so beautifully. That is probably because I stopped tinkering with it. In Colorado we have very low humidity so I used a coarse bark mix and added some spagnum moss (75% bark, 25% moss). I water it once a week year round. But I have found that the best thing I can do for my plants is: water with a weak fertilizer, put them where they get some sun and - maybe most important - leave them alone. Unfortunately 2015 this is a repotting year.
Nice Tommy. I know what you mean about "Phal Killer". I have killed a few myself. Repotting is a dangerous time for my plants. It is all to easy to add too much moss but I have found that if do not add it the media dries out too fast. Growing orchids is a challenge for me but I love it and believe it or not, I am not even into S&M. ☺

LOL! Me either! I think my problem is over watering. This phal is in a CLEAR pot which helps me see if it needs water or not MUCH better!
Hi Mandyrose,
I was watering my plants today and looked at the one in this post a little closer and I have a new synopsis for you. I think the phal looks the way that it does due to the timing of my last repot. I'm thinking the plant was leaning as you see it in the picture prior to the repot, but when I repotted it I put the leaves straight up and fastened the stem in a straight up position. The stem then started growing towards the Sun as well as the follage. I say this because a new stem is now growing and it is not straight up, it is growing towards to Sun also. I just thought you might like to know.
My mini phal is leaning more and more. She's just small, and recovering from a summer of -unbeknownst to me- neglect.
Thanks for thinking of me though and yay for more flowers!
Don't give up on your Phals! Apparently you're starting to learn how to care for them. I haven't given up on Paphs after killing so many and I'm also a notorious overwaterer.
Wonderful blooming on your Phal (is it still flowering?).
