Default Phal. Miva smartissimo

Blooming out of season. This is a prolific bloomer and a vigorous grower! this is it's third time blooming since winter last year. I guess it doesn't have a whole lot of energy to produce a lot of flowers but gave me big blooms to compensate for the quantity! I have been thinking of giving my phals away but this one is staying.

That is definitely a keeper. I can see the Leopard Prince in its parentage. Its a happy plant = you are giving it the proper light with the right shade of green on the leaves and robust pencil thick roots....

Thanks bud! This has been somewhat neglected cause it's always on display and still doing very well. I think phals really like neglect.

Love it! My favorite part is the freckles on the lip as well. Usually when you see spotted phals it is just on the petals.

this really is an oldie ( 1988 ) and not generally available anymore.
What others do you have ? I may be interested in buying from you if you are "retiring" most of your collection and there is a golden oldie worth breeding with.

I wouldn't call myself a collector because I just started three years ago and most of the phals I have are from big box stores. When I repotted this plant, I found the tag buried in the media and didn't know anything about the cross. I'm getting into other genres of orchids that's why I was thinking of giving away some NoIds.
