I hope to create a hybrid of my own too later, there are low-cost flasking services in my area so that takes care of the difficult part. It's really nice to name a flower after a loved one.
Lovely flowers....the colors are just yummy....you have tropical balmy warm air and high humidity that makes your orchids very happy.
Thanks, but we also have our problems.
Like I find the standard 30 to 32-degree centigrade (86 to 89.6 F) a problem for longer-lasting blooms, at least in my place.
And the warm air and humidity can make them more susceptible to disease. Must really be on one's toes monitoring them. My goal however is to minimize or not to use fungicides and pesticides, just make them stronger and less prone to disease.
