Came back for a second look...I really like this little one. So, so cute!
I got the species last fall...still a year or so away from blooming.
The name throws me though...I would've expected at least a little yellow in the flower. ?? Odd. Anyway...gorgeous little flower.

I had the species as well but it didn't do well for me so I got this instead, much easier to grow!
I know what you mean about the name, I thought the same thing, yellow flower.
Odd thing is there's a Lui's Red Star Dust that I saw that was yellow!!
Maybe the hybridizer got the 2 crosses mixed up when registering?!?

Who is the other parent? If the first ones to bloom out in a cross were yellow, this could be a later blooming seedling.
My bad memory cell remembers another Phal with a color in its registered name but some in the cross didn't show that particular color.
Growing out seedlings can be so much fun IF you have the space.

Brooke,
The Liu's Yellow Star Dust is Carribean Sunset x minus and the Red Star Dust is Jiaho Cherry x minus.
Growing out seedlings is fun....even without the space LOL
