To give you alittle more info standards generally have species like these in their background:
amabilis, aphrodite, equestris, philippinensis, sanderiana, schilleriana,stuartiana
Whereas novelties have species such as:
amboinensis, bellina, floresensis, lueddemanniana, micholitzii, violacea.
There are many more that make up each of these two groups but this will give you some sort of an idea
what you may be dealing with or looking for.
as well as genetics it can depend on growing conditions, health of the plant. I have some that genetically give more than others. but each time they flower how many you actually get depends on the conditions and current health of the plant.
