Default Phal schilleriana

Does anyone here have experience growing Phal schilleriana?

I have a bunch of flasklings that are doing great in their own little seedling pots or in compots but some of the larger ones are pushing themselves out of their pots constantly. It looks like the roots are straight and they just get longer.

If you pot them do you put them in tall Cym-style pots or how do you coax the roots to stop growing straight and start to fill up the width of the pot a bit more?

If you grow yours mounted do you have a similar problem with the roots growing off the top of the mount?

This is my first time with schilleriana and i'm not sure wht the roots will do as they grow older.

Ideally i'd like to have them in fairly squat pots so i can grow them standard and then hang them at 45 degs on a wall and let the spike cascade when they're in flower. I can't imagine being able to do that very well if they were in taller pots.

P.S it's probably too dry here to have them bare mounted constantly.

Thanks.

certainlly not, schilleriana's root is flat-type, which means they like attach to a bark rather then in a pot, but the it should be kept moist.
