how to plant/grow Phalaenopsis Wedding Promenade orchid

Hi All,

I bought Phalaenopsis Wedding Promenade orchid at IKEA store.

I don't know anything about orchids.

Please let me know how to plant/grow this orchid inside home.

Hello Raghu,
If you click on the Home section (to the left) and scroll down you will find the culture sheet for Phalaenopsis.
They are rather general instructions, but very helpful still. I love growing them and find they are the easiest orchid for me to grow and I have them throughout my house. I keep them under medium light, never direct sun, I generally soak the roots, then let "almost" completely dry but never dry out. I mist the leaves often, and talking to them is a must in my house Good luck! .... kiki-do

I have the same orchid. I never have had a green thumb but its pretty obvious when a plant needs water. Mine dries out easy..IT SUCKS UP A LOT OF WATER..yet I have lost all of the flowers off of it and it does not seem to have 'blooms'. I want to try to keep it alive just not real sure how. But I am off to read now! Hopefully I will find something useful!
