Strange behaviour of NOID phal. Anyone knows what this is?

I bought this Phal without blooms and without a tag. Had no idea what it was going to look like and I have waited a whole year and a bit more for it to finally bloom. Now that it has I am not so sure I like it! . It kept Keiki Ing at the base of the plant and has abundant roots. Nice plant actually with silvery sharp leaves. Anyone knows what it is? In fact it had a strange root which was flat and about 2 cm think and which after I repotted about six months ago to try to encourage it to bloom formed part of the leaves/root system of a new Keiki.
