Default Phal Surf Song and Phal Fuller's Panda

These are both purchases from Hausermann Orchids. I have only had 1 bud blast on them and the buds are opening great! Phal Surf Song is a very robust plant with 10 leaves and multi branching spikes. It has more branching starting since I got it. The fuller's panda also has a branch spike starting.

I love your Phal Surf Song!!!! I am really new to orchids and saw that Hausermann's had Surf Song few weeks ago. I was hesitant to buy at first and wonder if it was capable of branching. Thanks for sharing the picture. I can't wait to get one myself
Any recommendations for its care?

Thank you! I ordered 3 plants from them in total and all where in sphagnum moss, very tightly packed. One of the plants was drenched and I am glad I immediately repotted b/c the roots looked like they were starting to rot. I am waiting to repot the Surf Song b/c it wasn't drenched and I can see there is the peanuts at the bottom and good roots. I know enough about phals now I think to leave it in the moss and not over water. I'll repot if it is not working.
Phals can be repotted in full bloom. I repotted the Fuller's Sunset and it only blasted 1 bud and has more opening.
All of the plants from them were very healthy and as described I would definitely recommend the Surf Song it is beautiful and no one mentioned they have a scent!! They smell good too. :big grin: I recommend you get it, these seem to sell out quickly when they are offered!

I was gonna ask if that was Phal Fuller's Sunset in the background. We really do have similar tastes in orchids! I bought one for hubby at the OS show back in March and am getting ready to repot it. The thing just kept on blooming and blooming and blooming. The spike finally dropped all of its blooms a couple of weeks ago. I think it's my favorite so far, for how long the blooms last.

Excellent choices!

Yes, the Yellow and pink in the background is Phal Fullers Sunset. It is my healthiest phal and is growing out of my pot now. I think every root has active growth and it is getting huge. It gets the most sun on my Phal table and loves it. The old spikes don't brown and they just keep forming new buds. You have this one also?

I do! I drug my poor husband to the orchid show back in March and he kept going back to this phal and saying, "That's really pretty." and I hadn't quite spent my budget on plants, so I picked one for him. I love the almost flame colored lip. The pink with hints of orange. It's really beautiful.

I also have Phal. Surf Song and a NOID that is very similar to your Fuller's Panda, but I like yours better. The pattern on the blooms is very striking.

Here's my Fuller's Sunset 'Brother Gold':
