My Mom's Phalaenopsis is huge!
I gave this to my mom three years ago before moving across country. I'm really jealous now! It was one of the first orchids I bought, and was one of those that they injected with blue dye. I think it looks a whole lot better now. Included a picture with my hand - the flowers are huge, probably 4-5 inches across!

I read somewhere that they only inject the healthiest orchids with the blue dye because its hard on the plant and they have to be super strong for it not to kill them. I also have a blue dye rescue and it is a crazy strong grower. I have only had it a few months but I am excited to see the buds once its back to flowering condition. Congrats to your mom!

You can really tell it is a perfect growing area. I might be tempted to buy a blue, if the plants are super strong!
