No Terri, the plant itself looks fine, just the way it always has.
If it were affecting the plant in any way, I would've cut this spike off long ago so that the plant could concentrate on it's own strength. I'm probably preventing new spikes and/or blooms from coming along but this is just way too interesting to get rid of
whoa! That is amazing! I wonder, you havent attempted to pollinate those flowers have you? I have just made about 4 of my phal mannii flowers developed seed pods buy the flowers just withered...parts of the flowers turned green before this happened though. ??? amazing...keep is updated!
