Phal. Malibu Merlot
Here's the old lady of my collection. She's about 10 years old. I came very close to tossing her out last summer. Not only did she have the funky whatever that claimed half of my Phal. collection she came down with a bad case of scale. It was so bad I had to cut of a just opened spike of 16 flowers because it was covered with the nasties. I treated my whole collection with Bayer 3-1 last summer and the scale is completely gone. Not only that but the funky leaf issue I was having has not returned. Maybe it was some insect infestation that I couldn't see. Anyway, here she is with 13 flowers this year. This plant always has the best presentation of any Phal. I have ever owned.
