I have a serpentlingua and it surprised me after I bought it. It had one spike when I purchased it and then proceeded to put out 3 more successive spikes after the first one died. It is a really cool plant and I hope that I can manage to get it to rebloom this year! I have mine mounted.
The thing that is hard to see in the photo that Sue posted is that it has a really cool forked tongue (or lip as the case may be.)
By the way, mine is mounted, gets high light and lots of water in our warm conditions.

in the end i didnt end up getting it, it was way tooo small for me to try. the mount itself was only the size of my thumb, so imagine how tiny this plant is, but nonetheless if i can get myself a larger one, i wouldnt mind giving it a try ^^
