Default I am Seeing Spots! New noID I Couldn't Resist!

Since space is getting to be at a premium, I have resisted buying any new phals lately, but with Valentine's Day everyone had such a great selection of orchids!

This one just dazzled my eyes, I had to have it! I guess you would technically classify this as a harlequin, of a type which I am a fan.

My camera does not like magentas/reds and trying to color-correct doesn't work well for that part of the spectrum. The spots are darker than this shows.

It also looks like it is going to be a big grower as the stalk is robust. Heck, I have my Baldan's Kaleidoscope in an 8" pot already...I don't know where I'll put them all if they grow that big (its just started blooming, I have branches and spikes coming out all over.)

I would have brought that one home, too! It is just gorgeous with the coloring combination!

Beautiful!

Unfortunately the shot in the first post isn't showing though, so I've only got the whole plant shot

I like the red-spotted flowers in the rustic bucket. Very beautiful display.

I have a formula for giving a rusty look to things, that was a galvanized bucket to start. I use black, orange, medium and dark brown spray paints to achieve the much beloved 'color'.
