They last a good long time.

I've had one of these for years and it's opening its first flower of the year now. Last year mine kept putting out blooms for something like 9 months, it was crazy. It seems to really like the light situation I have.

Mine is a B K Golden Treasure so it's petal shape is just a bit different than yours but this type seems to be so vigorous, dependable and the flowers are numerous and long-lived. I love seeing all the B Ks and its relatives out there. Very pretty!

I will just as soon as my Imgur site works. Its not allowing me in to my account at the moment.
edit: found a workaround on Imgur!
Mine is just starting to bloom. A main spike with a lateral branch with about 14 blooms and a secondary spike just coming up and forming buds.
It has a bit more red in it this time around.
It is in an 8" pot and as soon as it stops blooming I'm going to put it in a clear pot so its octopus roots quit taking over the area.
I have a number of phals just getting started.

Very nice, but I don't see any differences between mine and yours. I'm not saying there aren't any, I just don't have a trained eye for it. Can you please show us, thanks.

Czygyny, my BK Golden Treasure has started getting darker like that also. The last time it bloomed it had petals that were almost red, with no yellow or veining. Could this be a virus?...Jean

The petals and sepals are more rounded at the tips of my Golden Treasure while yours are narrower, and the lip is red whereas it appears that the Kaleidoscope is white on the end. Otherwise the wonderful veining and color appear the same.

I think it is probably environment; temperature and humidity, for instance, rather than illness. I have a mini phal that blooms very differently each time due to the varying conditions in which it forms its flowers.
Others may have a different opinion. I am no expert at any rate!
