My first Phals are getting ready to bloom

This is the first time I've gotten these Phals to bloom. In fact, it's the first time I've gotten *any* orchid to bloom. So as you can imagine, I am a little excited.

And yes, I know, they haven't bloomed yet. You're right. I don't care, lol. They have gotten this far and already exceeded my expectations, so anything after this is pure bonus. They're not going to be anything amazing, but...since it's the first time *I've* done it...it's a big deal.

It feels very good! And it is most definitely a result of having found this message board. Thank you for all your help, Orchid Board!

very cool. im sort of headed the same way. i got two phals that i think will take a while before they bloom for me. cant wait to feel the same way you feel.

Lookin good , i have a phal from last year on its way to opening its first bud too , your leaves look super healthy and spike is lookin good too

Isn't it fun even though I have gotten several to bloom it is still very exiting as I have also killed several even after I got them to bloom it never gets old.

But I am still blooming some I have never gotten to bloom yet. I am so trying to take better care of my orchids.

And the sad thing is that I'm moving next week and can't take them with me so...I guess I won't get to see them bloom...only photos

Well would you look at that. Four months from nub, to spike, to bud, to bloom. What an amazing feeling!
