P. Sogo Vivien, third rebloom starting! - Orchid Board

I came home today to see this! *squee!* It's my P. Sogo Vivien, that I bought last year at an orchid care clinic at the Atlanta Botanical Gardens and I've gotten it to bloom three times sofar. I'm so pleased I haven't killed it off instead!

One of my teacup sized phal is reblooming as well and it is just cutest thing in the world!!!

What is that beautifully variegated one next to it? golden vivien??

Yes! I didn't realize it was until a few days ago when I found the label on it saying P. Sogo Vivien, Varigate! I've had it for a year, I'm embarrassed that I didn't look closer at the tag sooner. It's only bloomed once, I think; I've only recently started to catalog and document my little collection seriously.

And I totally agree, the mini phals are ADORABLE

I love the minis also. So far I am having very good luck and both mine are re blooming and one is still blooming from September. It grew on to the old spike and added seven new blooms.

Here's a pic of it! I've noticed the blooms still curl inward a bit but they're still lovely.

I don't use any type of potting mix, I've only started to stumble through repotting with a mix of moss and bark.

Are you going to the Atlanta Orchid Society show this year? I will be going on Saturday March 8 2014, I will try ta restrain myself from buying orchids.

Yes! I'm SOOO looking forward to it, I'm hoping to volunteer with the Atlanta Orchid Society as much as possible! I'm also hoping to go to the orchid care clinic at the Atlanta Botanical Gardens this weekend (sat, 10am till noon) but we're still doing renovations on our house. I also saw the Peach State Orchids Facebook post about being there all this coming weekend!
