haha I thought about doing something like this for a Epi. parkensianum... but decided terra-cotta instead..

Me too hope my poor plants live through the cold. We had -2 F with bad wind chills. 52 F in the living room last night where my orchids were.

That's a really neat idea Tommy, you reall come up with some good ones.

I hope your chids will be fine. I am always surprised to hear how cold it gets inside the houses in your area, I was in Wyoming many times in the winter, or Colorado, and it was always nice and worm and cozy in every single hotel or apartment we were renting, also back in Czech we have strong cold winters, but our house was always heated to the temp we liked, I can not imagine my mother to stay in the house where living room has only 52F, no way:-)))
