SNOW STORM CAME TO ME TOM!!!! SNOW!!!

Me too hope my poor plants live through the cold. We had -2 F with bad wind chills. 52 F in the living room last night where my orchids were.

That's a really neat idea Tommy, you reall come up with some good ones.

I hope your chids will be fine. I am always surprised to hear how cold it gets inside the houses in your area, I was in Wyoming many times in the winter, or Colorado, and it was always nice and worm and cozy in every single hotel or apartment we were renting, also back in Czech we have strong cold winters, but our house was always heated to the temp we liked, I can not imagine my mother to stay in the house where living room has only 52F, no way:-)))

I know it's cold but that is the temp on the shelf where my orchids are in the window. I need to put the thermometer in the middle of the room. We are bad and need to work more on the house. We have a log home and it is not so air tight. Most people wouldn't put up with it, guess I'm a tough one hee, hee, hee. We can warm it up good during the day and if the wind isn't blowing it is not bad.

I live in a very wind blown area. I am hoping my orchids will be OK as well, went to put my seed pad under my new compact catts and OF course it isn't working, dame thing hasn't been used that much.

Would pvc coated welded wire mesh work if I wanted to make my own?

TOMMYMIAMI 12-05-2013 02:50 PM

I don't see why not:-)
