Yes, spike. You can tell be the overlaping tissues at the end. Roots are smooth.

Exclamation UPDATE

Here is the spike with some buds... ....I think that I am in for a lot of flowers too...the first time this flowered it only had 5 to 6 flowers I think....I am going to have at least that...and another spray starting...I of course will keep you updated.
