Bobits - Not sure if i'm doing anything in particular. They all get treated exactly the same way.
I hadnt really thought about the multiple spikes before as thought it was par for the course, but upon looking at all my phals that are in flower, most of them have multi spikes

Bobits I think it is a question of breeding. My phals 15 years ago never had any branches at all, but now when you go to the shop it seems the phals are branching all over the place.

It depends more on the parentage than on the growing conditions.

Evening......
Just thought I would share a few new pictures of the rescued £1.00 phal I got earlier in the year. Its gone bonkers and is flowering its head off and growing some nice new roots.
Am so pleased I got this one as the flowers r just so cute
