Dtps. Kenneth Schubert 'FANGtastic Violet' HCC/AOS
(Phal. violacea x Doritis pulcharrima)
This is such a long name for a very small plant! In different light, white florescent light, the blossoms appear blue. The brown color appearing on the top flower is damaged--probably touching a too cold window. The flowers are fragrant. Under my breakfast room these are lavender flowers.

That's very pretty. I had a Purple Martin that looked similar only a little darker.
One name in the cross is incorrect. It should be violacea X pulcherrima. I also think all Doritis have been reclassified as Phal.

I think next time I mention pulcherrima at my orchid group I'll call it 'pull charisma' and see if anyone notices... LOL I like that name.

"Pull charisma" is an iPad autocorrection that started all the way from my orchid list spreadsheet. I like the correction too, but I should try to put the correct spelling on the photos, "pulcharrima". I should also change from Doritis to Phalaenopsis. But I really do not want to do that either, as this allows me to quickly understand its parentage...or not.
