Until recently I've only had NoID phals bought at the supermarket and a local nursery, but a couple of weeks ago i received a few named phals, both hybrids and species.
Several of them were in spike and had buds and I expected them to blast because of the long transport and rough travelling that they'd been through, but so far so good.
The Anna-Larati Soekardi (
pulcherrima x
parishii) was one of the first ones to open up. This is a small plant with a tiny, cute flower. She might not have the wow-factor of the Phalaenopsis
violacea var. coerulea standing next to her, but she's a real charmer, this one.
