Isn't it great when you can find nice orchids on clearence?

But I got a question on the Wedding Promanade. Does yours have spotting on the leaves? I actually got one too (at Lowes), but it had no name tag. It was surronded by plants that were labeled as Wedding Promanade and this was the healthiest of all of them so I kind of bought it anyways. The flowers look just like the one in the photograph and it would be good to put a name to the plant.

btw: What part of Maine do you live in? I'm from northeastern MA . Did you guys get the ice too, or just lots of snow?

why does home depot charge us canadians an arm and a leg, compared to the states?

Snow: I really don't know why HD charges more on their orchids in Canada.

Thats odd... I just picked up a Brother Little Yellowboy today with some early Christmas money, and it has a more star-like flower shape and no stripes. I think HD mixes up their tags. I have seen yellow novelty Phals labeled as Phal. amabilis (and obviously not the case!). Perhaps its just a case of mistaken identity, but they are all just as lovely to me!!!!

PS- I'll post a picture of my yellowboy soon... its absolutely breathtaking! the tallest spike is about 3 feet tall, and the second spike a bit shorter.... I LOVE IT! Orchids and diamonds for Christmas- I'm a spoiled boy! :-D

The Lowe's here marked all orchids down to $1 a few weeks ago to get rid of them. The first day there were a couple that weren't bad, but they were gone quick. Even for $1 there wasn't much worth having. Oh well.
