A lot of times if you are aware of a grower coming to Canada to speak for one of the societys, you can tag on to that clubs order and order some stuff from the vendor (if from United States). I've heard of them mailing the plants from Toronto if that was where they were speaking for other clients out further west. I like to be a bad influence...you could check the SOOS (Southern Ontario Orchid Society) speakers for the next year or so and see if this might be a possibility or if any of the plants would interest you. Like I said I've been able to order this way through Jason fisher last June and Peter Lin this June. Their August speaker is from Cal-Orchids in California...I may have to order a couple.
